Dedication of Veterans Memorial Solar Light

Friday, May 23rd at 9:30 a.m., Commissioner Steve Acquafresca and Commissioner John Justman will dedicate a very unique light. The light, donated by Randall Ohm, symbolizes a soldier standing alone on guard duty.

Randall Ohm, a Vietnam Veteran and Grand Valley resident, created a street light that is solar powered and off the grid. He donated this unique light as a memorial to our servicemen and women - those who have served, and those who continue to serve. With some help from Mesa County Parks and Bud Signs, the light is now shining on the Riverfront Trail near Clifton Nature Park.

Please join us for a short dedication ceremony
