Mesa County Clerk & Recorder, Sheila Reiner is excited to announce the appointment of her Chief Deputy Clerk & Recorder, Donna Ross.
Donna Ross is a previous Elections Director and has over 20 years of experience as a paralegal and administrator for Mesa County Government. Donna has a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management, a Master’s Degree in Business and is a known and respected individual in our community; I am delighted to welcome her to our team.
Mesa County is blessed with a strong Elections Director in Catherine Lenhart along with a small but mighty staff within the Division. I am very proud of their success and want to continue to fully support them. This Fall I am contested on the ballot and will be removing myself from the day to day support of the Division during the conduct of the General Election. The Elections Division is an area of the Clerk’s office that is often litigious and contentious in nature. It is imperative that Catherine and her staff have solid and knowledgeable support.
In 2015 and beyond our team will be focusing on two areas of responsibility that will require a considerable effort – upgrading our Recording and Motor Vehicle software, and engaging in the drafting of legislation in order to influence its impact on Recording and Motor Vehicle. This will be no small task and our Divisions Director, Jackie Campbell, and I are looking forward to having Donna’s support in these areas.
Please join me in congratulating her on her first day with the Clerk’s office on July 23, 2014. We will host an open house and tours of our Divisions at 200 S. Spruce Street from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
This celebration and opportunity to meet with us and learn about our office is open to the public. An additional public announcement will be distributed when we get closer to the date.” Sheila Reiner, Mesa County Clerk & Recorder.
“I am honored and excited to be joining the team of excellent employees in the Office of the Clerk and Recorder. I look forward to supporting the Clerk’s vital role as a liaison between our citizens and government, and to contributing to the Office’s efforts to preserve the integrity of our Elections process and deliver the best customer service to the residents of Mesa County.” Donna Ross, Chief Deputy Clerk & Recorder.
“The bittersweet part of transforming our Mesa County organization is that not everyone will have a spot in a new organization structure. Through our process I was disappointed that Donna was one of those people we were losing. I was disappointed because of her immense experience in our local area and our organization. Donna has been a superbly capable public servant and I just didn't have a place for her to be. The opening that has been created in the Clerk's Office is a perfect fit and will allow all of our citizens to continue to benefit from the excellent service to be provided by Donna Ross.” Tom Fisher, Mesa County Administrator.
