Contract signed for new Mesa County Attorney

At public hearing today, the Mesa County Commissioners signed an employment contract with J. Patrick Coleman, who will be taking over the role of Mesa County Attorney on December 1, 2014.

As Mesa County Attorney, Mr. Coleman will report directly to the Board of Commissioners and shall have job responsibilities as outlined in an earlier adopted resolution, and such other as the Board may assign from time to time. The compensation for this position is an annual salary of $140,000.00.

Patrick Coleman has twenty-seven years of legal experience, including ten years representing local governments. Mr. Coleman’s resume and photo were earlier made public when the Commissioners announced his selection as sole finalist for this position. For these details, please refer to
