Mesa County Clerk and Recorder, Sheila Reiner, would like to alert Mesa County citizens about a voter registration drive that appears to be using an inaccurate and out of date mailing list. Our customers have informed us they have received a voter registration form from a group called 'Conservation Colorado Education Fund.' Some of these forms have been addressed to a pet, a deceased person or individuals who no longer live at that address.
Citizens are encouraged to visit http://MyColoradoVote.com to verify voter registration information or contact the Mesa County Elections Office at (970) 244-1662.

Today during the Public Hearing, Mesa County Commissioners proclaimed September 17 - 23, 2014 as Constitution Week. The proclamation was accepted by Lori Parrott and other members of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Mount Garfield Chapter.
'Celebrating the anniversary of the signing of the Constitution provides an opportunity for all Americans to realize the achievements of the Framers of the Constitution and the rights, privileges, and responsibilities it affords.'
The Board of County Commissioners encourages all Mesa County residents to reflect during the week on the many benefits of our Federal Constitution and American citizenship, and to join in ceremonies and activities commemorating Constitution Week.
