County can help eradicate noxious weeds

Myrtle spurge is one of the noxious weeds found in Mesa County.
Staff of Mesa County's Noxious Weed and Pest Management program spend countless hours each summer trying to eradicate noxious weeds from the Grand Valley.
They dig up weeds and throw them away or spray them, hopefully before the weeds' seeds spread. Their focus is on three noxious weeds: myrtle spurge, giant reed grass and cypress spurge.
Homeowners can ask the county for help eradicating these weeds.
