Grand Valley Transit wants public input on proposed route changes

Grand Valley Transit will modify its routes starting July 20, but officials want to hear from community members first.

Before finalizing the changes, GVT is asking the public to provide feedback on the suggestions. Citizens can review the proposed route changes in two ways:

  • Attend an open house on Monday, June 15, from 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. at GVT’s West Transfer Facility, 612 24 ½ Road in Grand Junction. Parking is available behind the building in the Park ‘n’ Ride lot off F 1/8 Road. Maps of the proposed routes will be on hand, and GVT staff will be available to discuss the proposed changes. 
  • Visit Click on the “Proposed Changes” tab to review the proposed routes. E-mail comments to or drop written comments off at a GVT pass office by July 3. Pass offices are located in the GVT Downtown Transfer Facility, 525 S. Sixth St., and in the West Transfer Facility, 612 24 1/2 Road. 
GVT is committed to building and operating the most productive, efficient transit system for the communities it serves. As GVT officials review and develop services, they make necessary changes to routes. Those changes reflect continued budgetary challenges faced by GVT, as well as changes in ridership and community feedback.

The route changes are proposed to take effect on Monday, July 20.
