BLM dismisses Mesa County's protest of plan

The national office of the Bureau of Land Management last week sent a letter to the Mesa County Board of Commissioners dismissing the county's protest of the BLM's Grand Junction Proposed Resource Management Plan/Final Environmental Impact Statement.

That letter is below (please note that Commissioner Rose Pugliese is chairwoman of the Mesa County Board of Commissioners).

At public hearing on Monday, Sept. 21, at 9 a.m. in the Old Courthouse, 544 Rood Ave., the Commissioners will discuss an appeal of the Travel Management portion of the Resource Management Plan. Public comments will be heard.
