With the mailing date for vote-by-mail ballots approaching, Mesa County Elections is encouraging voters to have their registration information updated by Wednesday, Sept. 23, to ensure they receive their ballots as quickly as possible. Voter registration information including party affiliation, address changes and more may be changed online at GoVoteColorado.com or through our office at 200 S. Spruce St. in Grand Junction.
“We want to make sure voters update their address as soon as possible if they’ve moved or changed mailing addresses,” said Elections Director Amanda Polson. “Ballots cannot be forwarded if they are routed to an old address, so it is imperative that we have a voter’s current address on file. It's as easy as going online or stopping by our office, where we rarely have a line until mid-October.”
Ballots for the Coordinated Election will be mailed out on October 16 and our office will begin tabulating received ballots starting on October 19.
