Free days coming up at Mesa County Landfill and Transfer Stations

You can't take tires or appliances to the Landfill for free on Free Day, but you CAN get rid of your other garbage sans charge.
In support of spring cleanup efforts throughout Mesa County, the Mesa County Commissioners are sponsoring a FREE DAY of garbage disposal at the Mesa County Landfill, as well as the Molina, Fruita, Gateway and DeBeque Transfer Stations.

FREE DAY exceptions include tires, electronic waste, appliances containing refrigerants and commercially hauled materials. These items will be subject to normal tipping fees. Electronic waste is accepted for a fee of 42 cents per pound at the Hazardous Waste Collection Facility. Tires are $2 each.
