The Mesa County Transportation Department, in cooperation with Mesa County Noxious Weed & Pest Management, has scheduled the application of herbicides to manage weeds along roadways throughout Mesa County (by way of a contracted Licensed Commercial Applicator.)
Roadside and Right-of-Way weed treatment (up to 10 feet on each side of the road) will be
conducted county-wide several times from March through September.
If a property
owner/manager wishes to manage the weeds along the right-of-way adjacent to
their property on their own (and have the applicator abstain from spraying
along their property line), they may request to be added to the county "No
It will then be the responsibility of the property
owner to clearly indicate (by signage or bright flagging) the property lines and to manage weeds in and along that area.
