Change party affiliation by May 31 to vote in primary

Registered voters have until May 31 to change their affiliation from one political party to another to participate in the primary election this June. The deadline applies to those who are currently affiliated with a party and would like to switch to another party to receive a corresponding ballot. Affiliation changes can be done at the Mesa County Elections office, 200 S. Spruce St., or online at

Voters who are not affiliated with a party but would like to affiliate and vote in the primary have until Election Day, June 28. Unaffiliated voters can also change their affiliation at one of the Voter Service and Polling Centers during the times listed below.

  • Mesa County Central Services - Elections Department, 200 S. Spruce St. (West Entrance), Grand Junction, CO 81501
  • Goodwill - 630 24 ½ Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505
  • Clifton Motor Vehicle- 126 2nd St., Clifton, CO 81520
    • All locations are open Monday-Friday, June 20–27, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, June 25, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and Tuesday, June 28, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
