This week in pics

Mesa County Health Department said goodbye to Rene' Landry this week. She retired on June 1 after 24 years of service. From left, Jeff Kuhr, Rene' Landry, Diana Williams, Pat Steinkirchner and Kristy Emerson.

Congratulations to the Mesa County Animal Services team! They recently won an award from the LINK task force for their help with caring for animals who are affected by domestic violence. The photos below are from a press conference at CMU Thursday afternoon. All three Commissioners and CMU President Tim Foster spoke about a scholarship CMU will offer to Mesa County students who live on campus.

This recent Grand Junction High School graduate is a recipient of the scholarship. She will attend CMU in the fall.
