Commissioner gets appointed to the Child Welfare Allocations Committee

On Monday, Nov. 27, Mesa County Commissioner Rose Pugliese was elected by commissioners statewide as the Commissioner Co-chair of the Child Welfare Allocations Committee at Colorado Counties, Inc. (CCI) Foundation Winter Conference in Colorado Springs.

"The Child Welfare Allocations Committee (CWAC) was created by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado to provide input to the Executive Director of Human Services relative to the development of an equitable model for allocation of the Child Welfare Service Block Allocation to the counties. In addition, the CWAC is obliged to annually review and revise the allocation formula as necessary to reflect the changes in cost of delivery of services, caseload and population, and any other county or state dynamics and make recommendations to the Executive Director," according to the Colorado Department of Human Services website.
