Scott Forsgren leaves a 44-year legacy

On Monday, Dec. 18, Scott Forsgren was recognized for his 44-year career with Mesa County. Scott began his career with the Mesa County Fleet Department on June 20, 1973. He began his career as an equipment serviceman and was promoted to equipment mechanic II in January 1979, quickly moving through the ranks he was promoted many times, finally to fleet supervisor, a position he has held since March of 1993.

During his 44-year tenure, Scott has served the community with dedication and outstanding service not only to staff but to the taxpayers of Mesa County by maintaining and purchasing equipment in the most efficient manner.

Scott has displayed the highest example of character, ethics, morals, and unselfish service and will be missed both professionally and personally.

Mesa County Fleet Supervisor Scott Forsgren is honored by the Board of County Commissioners for his commitment and dedication throughout his 44 years of employment.
Mesa County Senior Accountant Katherine Boozell and Forsgren's daughter, tells the commissioners and guests in public hearing how proud she is of her father's hard work and dedication, and shared a few memories from her childhood when she would come to "work"  to help her dad. 

Many co-workers and friends stood up to congratulate Scott Forsgren as he was presented with a proclamation recognizing his years of service with Mesa County.

Mesa County Commissioners John Justman, Rose Pugliese and Scott McInnis honor Scott Forsgren on an outstanding 44-year career with the Mesa County Fleet Department and wish him many years of happiness and success.
