Skip the Trip

Clerk and Recorder’s Office releases new video to promote government efficiency

Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Sheila Reiner, today, released the first of several videos in a series that showcases user-friendly resources offered at the Motor Vehicle Office, 200 S. Spruce St., so you can save time and skip the trip.

“One of many great ideas provided by my staff to promote efficiency in government is ready! I'm proud to announce our promotional video on skipping the trip to the Mesa County Motor Vehicle office,” Reiner said. “The video is meant to be a friendly reminder about the choices and resources available for you to consider before you decide to come down and see us at the office.”

The majority of motor vehicle transactions can be done online, by sending required paperwork in by mail, or by dropping it off. A self-service kiosk is also available to renew license plates — it’s fast and easy, and, if you have a title to process, you can schedule an appointment online. Additionally, checklists are available online to help identify the required documents to make one quick trip to MV.

Watch the video at Additional videos will be announced and posted online as they become available.

“It's not you, it's us!” added Reiner. “We know you have better things to do than to wait in line, so go online!”
