Commemorating Veterans of the Vietnam War, August 20, 2018

The Board of Mesa County Commissioners this morning commemorated Vietnam Veterans with a proclamation recognizing the service and dedication of veterans of the Vietnam War.

The Commissioners said "their honor and courage during the Vietnam War will never be forgotten and their valor and integrity will always be remembered. During the 13-year Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War, we embrace our responsibility to help our Vietnam Veterans and their families heal from the heavy toll of war."

The Board of Mesa County Commissioners, in conjunction with Mesa County Veterans Services, are honoring Mesa County Vietnam Veterans and their families at a recognition ceremony Monday, Aug. 20 from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. at the Mesa County Fairgrounds.
