Join us in maintaining and creating healthy landscapes to live and play by participating in the clean-up of Clifton Nature Park!
The event will take place from 10 a.m to 12 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019, and includes the opportunity for a descriptive nature walk after picking up trash, pulling a few weeds and monitoring the growth of the native plants we transplanted last fall!
Make sure you pack sunglasses, sunscreen, snacks, and water. We recommend you wear a long sleeve shirt, long pants, and sturdy shoes. We will have some gloves available, but if you have a favorite pair— please bring them along!
Meet at the Clifton Nature Park parking lot, which is located on the south side of D Road between 32 1/4 and 32 1/2 roads, next door to Clifton Sanitation District.
This Clifton Nature Park clean-up is sponsored by Mesa County, RiversEdge West, Clifton Sanitation District, and Colorado Baby! All ages welcome!

ELECTION: NOTICE OF LOGIC & ACCURACY TEST
Mesa County, Colo. – Mesa County Elections, a division of the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder’s Office, will perform a ‘Logic and Accuracy’ test between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., on Thursday, April 11, 2019. This test is conducted on voting equipment that was used in the recent City of Grand Junction Municipal Election.
The test will be performed at the Mesa County Elections office by staff. The test is open to the public and media, as space allows. The Election office is accessed through the west doors, at 200 S. Spruce St., Grand Junction.
The equipment, which has been provided by the Denver-based company Dominion Voting Systems, was adopted by counties in 2016 after the Colorado Secretary of State’s office selected it as the statewide uniform voting system.
The Logic and Accuracy test allows the Elections staff, the political party representatives and the public to be confident the equipment operated properly and efficiently.
For further information or if you have any questions, call the Election office, at (970) 244-1662.

All young children and their families deserve access to high-quality early education and care, which is why Mesa County Commissioners adopted a proclamation to focus attention on the needs of young children and their families by recognizing and drawing attention to multiple initiatives and programs in the Grand Valley intended to make children’s lives better.
